Parenting Resources
Thomas Learning Centers works closely with a variety of agencies to provide additional resources for our schools and for parents. These resources include but are not limited to:
- Social Services: We accept childcare payments from many counties in and around the Denver Metro area. Subsidies are available to low-income families who are working, going to school, or participating in certain employment and training programs. Ask the Center Director at your school of choice for more information.
- Health Screenings and Services: TLC is able to provide referrals to a variety of government-sponsored programs which provide health care coverage for uninsured children; screenings for hearing, vision, speech, learning, social skills, and motor skills; immunizations; and dental care for qualifying children. Our Nurse-on-Call can provide a routine well-child check up and check for hearing and vision problems as well.
- Parenting Education and Family Support Services: Our Centers can refer families to programs in a variety of areas including money management, general parenting, nutrition, health care, adult literacy and healthy family functioning.
- In-Services: Parents are always welcome to attend our monthly in-services too. At our in-services meetings parents and other guests can pick up tips on discipline, first aid/CPR, fun things to do with your child and many other worthwhile topics.
